Fishing Charter (min 4 person):
Enjoy the opportunity to take a fishing charter in our very own 28 foot panga boat. While most of the worlds seas are becoming over-fished, Nicaragua’s stays abundant with a massive variety of catches. San Juan Del Sur is a known fishing village dating back to the 1800’s and local guides will take you to the sweet spot that always delivers.
For nearly 6 months out of the year (roughly from July to December), hundreds of thousands of rare sea turtles return to the same beach in which they were born to lay millions of eggs. There are other places in the world that bear witness to turtle hatching, but Nicaragua is one of only four countries where turtle hatchings occur on such a large scale.
You can be there as well, witnessing one of Mother Nature’s truly remarkable rites of passage.
We have matts available for you to borrow if you feel like doing your own session on the lawn of gazebo.
There are plenty of great alternative ways of relaxing, de-stressing and exercising in San Juan del Sur during your stay. Take advantage of Nicaragua’s slower pace of life to concentrate on yourself.
We offer packages for individuals, groups and families and instructors based on your needs. We have retreats and events scheduled year round, which makes your vacation to Nicaragua easy to plan.
We are working with Central America’s number 1 fitness instructor Andre Ramirez from www.andrefit.com to develop retreats designed especially for your group. For more information please email us at email@example.com
The longest canopy tour is located only five minutes from the popular beach town San Juan del Sur. Canopy Tour Da Flying Frog offers 2.5 kilometers of zipline in a rural setting where nature prevails.
The canopy tour is located on the border of a farm at the foot of a hill. Nature is abundant in the area, and you can see animals including monkeys, raccoons, birds, and other animals. The vegetation also creates a great setting.
The canopy tour starts at the top of one of the hills, from where you have a superb view of the bay of San Juan del Sur and its surroundings. The canopy tour consists of 16 cables that are connected through 17 platforms, most of them located up in the trees.
For a single person, it takes about 45 minutes to complete the whole canopy tour. There are many different cables, including slow, fast, short, and long parts. The longest cable is 328 meters; the highest one passes over a canyon measuring 70 meters deep; and at the fastest one you can reach a speed of 70 kilometers per hour.
Da Flying Frog also offers horses for rent to explore the natural area where you can also find large petroglyphs.
A group of thrill-seekers have developed a ‘hot’ new adrenaline sport called ‘volcano boarding’, in which participants race at speeds of up to 50mph down the side of an active volcano.
Phillip Southan is the young owner of Green Pathways Tour, the company that organizes volcano surfing sessions on Cerro Negro, one of Nicaragua’s most active and dangerous volcanoes.
Dressed in protective gear, adrenalin-junkies climb 726 meters up Cerro Negro and slide down on specially-built plywood boards. Southan admits there is a chance the young volcano could erupt, but says the biggest danger is the volcano surfers might fall off the board and injure themselves.
The volcano surfing tour has only been around for 4 years, but 10, 000 people have already participated. having a crack at perhaps the most extreme activity in the world – volcano surfing. On Cerro Negro you can ride the ‘ring of fire’ as you surf down the side of the volcano, passing over still warm ashes. A simply phenomenal experience!
Nicaragua has a stellar advocacy network and world-class trails. Whether it be the other-worldly volcano trails across the country, the coffee/pineapple plantation routes that ring Managua, the Alps-esque mountain rides near Esteli or the singletracks that hug the Pacifica Coast with jaw dropping views, Nicaragua offers a plethora of fat tire destinations.
ATV Tours are highly recommended, especially in the rainy season cause you are in for a massive amount of fun! These guys can give you a 2 hour tour (recommended) or more or just rent you the Quads… The equipment is kept in tip top shape, and the tour is fantastic cause you get an up and close view of 2 or more beaches and one of the most impressive look out points in the south of Nicaragua. Tons of Fun!!
